  5. Thanks for watching SSJ, I probably need to go into more detail with that grading system – thanks for making a start on it for me. Still have to come up with a grade for the very worst condition that is acceptable in a 7.30 timeslot LOL. HH mate, best wishes.

  9. Thanks for watching Willo, yes that site has been productive for many years, I believe that the cultivation of the soil must really bury some of the coins very deeply, then a couple of years later they are picked up and bought back to the surface. We have been finding coins on that place for 6 or 7 years now, and have never come home empty handed! Best wishes mate, keep hitting those great old spots around Canberra. HH and GL.

  19. Nice one mate, nice to see others getting into the silvers and relics .. looking forward to the next hunt … loved those tiny tiny ants …LOL

  20. Your video inspired me to give the Garrett GTI 2500 a go on this property. Actually I have really under utilized this machine and have not learned it enough. So this gives me a close site with a ton of targets to practice on and maybe it can sniff out the coins that I know are there. I think even with the smaller coil, our highly mineralized soil is giving my etrac fits. It probably will give the Garrett fits as well, but what a great place to test out the theory. Thanks Mate!

  29. Yeah I thought about the translation, my grading system may be a bit too “Australian” LOL. The VFT, must be 30 years they have been talking about that. Could have built a few thousand of the damn things by now. They will still be arguing about the route it shoud take in another 30 years. How about a straight line? Just get on with it! Thanks for watching and commenting mate, HH.

  33. Thanks for your kind comments, unfortunately most of the Bronze alloys are ‘Cactus’ LOL, but the silvers usually are lovely and shiny. HH mate, keep posting the great videos.

  37. Thanks for your comment OG1100, I agree, I love the design on the old KG V Aussie Pennies, we are a pretty practical lot, a round coin with “One Penny” written on it LOL. The Halfpenny was a similar design. The Kangaroos are a pretty coin but hard to go past the simplicity of the KGV coins. HH mate and look forward to your next video.

  41. Thanks Chad, yep its one of those sites that you could probably never hunt out LOL. Mate that is the stock 10.5 inch imaging coil (my GTI2500 is an 06 model I think), the new shipped coil is a black 10.5 epoxy, I guess that is what you are running. I have the 14 x 10 DD too (no imaging), but should try it on this site as it well get the deeper coins, but maybe best to leave them until next year. LOL. HH mate.

  45. [..YouTube..] Another enjoyable and informative video NQ.

You may have to release the NQ Explorer translation dictionary soon for our overseas friends.

As for the trains, I understand the government is still talking about building the VFT (Very Fast Train) from Brisbane to Melbourne. That is, until we change government and they’re hoping to build the BFT (Bloody Fast Train).

But what the country needs is a FFT!

  46. Thanks for another AWESOME video Warren! Sure makes it nice when the fields are plowed like that, makes digging a lot easier! Look forward to the next video! HH and Best of Luck!

    beerbarrel

    • Thanks for watching and commenting Chris, yes the ploughed field is a welcome change from battling long grass and weeds on the old places! Much easier to concentrate on the coil swing and what the detector is ‘saying’. Best wishes and HH mate.

  47. [..YouTube..] @TreasurDiggrNY
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment TD NY, glad you enjoyed the video. HH mate, keep up those interesting hunt videos of your own. Best of luck.

  48. [..YouTube..] @garbageguru1
Thanks for watching GG1, actually the cane needs a lot of water, fortunately we are in the ‘wet tropics’ and get a very high ‘Wet season’ rainfall, usually measured in metres. Elsewhere it has to be irrigated. Look forward to seeing your silver finds mate, best wishes and HH.

  49. [..YouTube..] @fluoridekid
Thanks for watching Fluouridekid. Couldnt agree more on the Tilt-Train art. Can you believe the Government painted that?? LOL. Makes you wish for more graffiti. As its the ‘Blue-Ribbon’ express, it doesnt get much vandalism to speak of, just official vandalism! Best wishes mate and HH.

  50. [..YouTube..] @GemQ1
Thanks GemQ. Yeah the grading system is pretty simple, there is only one grade worse than “Cactus” but dont like to use it in public. LOL. HH mate, keep up the entertaining hunts.

  51. [..YouTube..] @farenheit1100
Thanks for watching Hugh, that mountain range is the Great Dividing Range, which runs right up the eastern seaboard. Actually the mountain in the background is Bartle Frere, Queensland’s highest at 1622m. Its jungle clad to the summit, unfortunately the wreckage of a USAAC B-25 Mitchell is up there (crashed in 1942). My father-in-law (Australian Army bren gunner) was in the small group that climbed the mountain to bring the bodies down. Meaning to get up there one day! HH mate.

  52. [..YouTube..] @EchucaDigger
Thanks ED, I’m trying to give up the padding, but it is difficult, maybe there is some sort of help group I could join LOL. HH mate, look forward to your next hunt and Mac upload.

  53. [..YouTube..] Guess cane doesn’t need as much water to grow?Congrats on the silvers mate! I found two more silver coins today.Salt water is rough on them.Glad that fertilizer doesn’t eat the silver up.They looked good! HH!

  54. [..YouTube..] Another super hunt and great intro. Not sure about the trains interlude, even though I do like trains, it’s just that they looked like the vandals had been at them 🙂 I see that you had to put up with armies of ants when digging for your coins. Well found those silvers and the pennies, even if they were toast, you can still see what they are. The site sounds pretty exciting too, with lots of future potential. Thanks for sharing and Good hunting 😀

  55. [..YouTube..] NQE,

Great hunt and some stories behind those finds no doubt. I love the new grading system mate, I gather terminal must be somwhere between dodgy and cactus.

  56. [..YouTube..] From the land of the Bluenose…..enjoyable view me bouy. Tri silver day is good in anyones books. Got to love that bell tone from Garrett! Looking forward to more productions from your neck of the woods!
