We purchased our first metal detector, a second hand D-Tex BFO, way back in 1980, and have been relic hunting and exploring ever since, but 2011 was our first year on YouTube. We hope you enjoy this little montage of 2011 – the metal detecting year that was. We would also like to thank all our YouTube friends and subscribers for your support.   8. [..YouTube..] As I watch this video – I find myself reliving the adventures you have taken us all on – pretty much the concept of a year in review video LOL. Being in the main demographic for music from U2 makes it easy to watch – repeatedly. I do read all the comments – and it is plain to see the effort you both put in to your hobby and sharing it here on You Tube is reflected in the words written. Thank you for the inspiration your efforts have created. In some ways – you have found what you’re looking for.

Our new camera is a “ruggedised” (dustproof/waterproof & drop proof) Panasonic Lumix. Fully waterproof – so rain is no problem. Really happy with the new camera, it is designed for harsh environments which suits our hunts, and takes a great movie too. We usually use a tripod for the videos.     greatly appreciate any help i can get and im melbournian
