A recent trip to the North Queensland goldfields with the new Garrett ATX unearths a complex mineral ore specimen in some ‘Old Timer’s’ gold workings from the 1870s. The specimen is principally Galena with Native Copper and Native Silver evident. The target gave a very strong repeatable signal on the ATX (stock DD coil) and was located at approximately 8 inches depth. Shortly after, Colleen and her AT Gold go on to discover an ‘Old Timer’s’ camp (possibly associated with the gold workings where the mineral specimen was unearthed) where she recovers some lovely relics from the 19th Century. Thanks for watching and subscribing! Colleen and Warren.
