We return to a site we visited regularly in 2012/13, but it has been almost a year since our last sortie. On the way in we have to battle thick scrub and flooded creeks typical of a North Queensland ‘wet’ season. Nevertheless, we manage to undertake our 8th metal detecting sortie to the site of a 1944 Australian Army Casualty Clearing Station (CCS). The day turns up militaria aplenty plus a surprise U.S. Army relic. (Thanks to Hugh — farenheit1100 for assistance in identification) We hope you enjoy this experience of a very remote and ‘inaccessible’ bush site! Please ensure your YouTube video quality settings are on “720 HD”. The previous 7 sorties to this site can be viewed at our channel www.youtube.com/user/nqexplorers Thanks for watching and please take the time to visit our site www.nqexplorers.com and www.facebook.com/nqexplorers and www.garrettaustralia.com.au Happy Hunting everyone!
