WW2 Metal Detecting: “Two Shillings”: Garrett AT Gold.

Our first trip to a new permission area turns up some great WW2 relics and coins left behind by the 7th Division Diggers over 70 years ago. A nice .925 ‘silver spill’ even includes a ‘Rising Sun’ collar badge as part of the haul. We hope you enjoy this relic-hunting adventure in our favourite environment – the Aussie bush. WW2 Relic Hunt: The ‘AWAS’ Badge: Garrett AT Gold.

A return visit to one of our permission areas brings up some nice coins and militaria, but the ‘Find of the Day’ goes to Colleen who unearths a beautiful ‘AWAS’ (Australian Women’s Army Service) shoulder flash. In all our years of WW2 relic hunting, this is the first such example we have found. Keep an eye out also for the young ladies of the AWAS at P.T. – 1944 Army style. We hope you enjoy this adventure in one of our favourite sites. Thanks for watching and subscribing! Colleen and Warren – www.facebook.com/nqexplorers
