‘High Ground Detecting’ – WW2 Relics – Garrett AT Pro International.

We return once again to a well-hunted spot, this time with North Queensland legend George Mayer and still manage to make some nice recoveries with a ‘low and slow’ at maximum power policy. Featured is a beautiful 1943 Merino Ram Shilling at the end of the day. Thanks for watching and subscribing! 1st Olympics of Metal Detecting, Italy: Garrett AT MAX.

Please enjoy this short video of our trip to Cesenatico, Italy, to the launch of the new Garrett AT MAX, and the 1st Olympics of Metal Detecting held on 7th May, 2017. We were able to put in a couple of hours on the new AT MAX and it will be a seamless move for any experienced AT Gold or AT Pro International users. It is also very user friendly for first-time users. The built in Z-Lynk system worked flawlessly with delay-free target signals, and the increased power of the AT MAX had us digging some deep targets on the beach. Italian beach sands are highly mineralised, we were recording Ground Balance readings of 85-88. Stay tuned for a full Australian AT MAX evaluation video. Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen.

Western Ghost Town Hunting 2: Garrett AT Gold.

Join us for the continuation of our Western Queensland Ghost Town adventure. In this instalment we head deep into the remote spinifex country in search of old towns which ‘boomed’ during the late 19th and early 20th century, but now lay abandoned. Some great finds including a silver Florin and a glorious Edward VII Shilling from 1906, no doubt dropped during the boom days in the old town. We also encounter some unusual wildlife, descended from animals originally used to haul copper and base metals to the many smelters.
